Don’t be a gama in the land of the lama.

A mysterious and magical destination that holds the history in every little fraction of this enigmatic district of Himachal Pradesh. From fossils living on this land, you’ll have a visual party of colors, culture & nature. Come be a part of our journey and be able to send love notes on a post-card to your dear ones from the world’s Highest Post-Office in Spiti. Vibe along with the calming wind & Buddhist chants through & through.

Itinerary

Day 0:

- Departure from Majnu ka Tila at 9/10 PM in Semi-Sleeper Volvo Bus (quilt and water bottles will be provided inside the bus)
- The bus will halt for dinner around 11:30 PM at a local dhaba/hotel

Day 1:

- Assemble at New Shimla Bus Stand near Victory Tunnel by 9 AM
- Freshen up & start from there by 10AM in our luxury tempo traveller
- Stop over for breakfast in the outskirts of Shimla while driving our way to Kalpa -It’s going to be a long drive so make sure to look out of the window to enjoy the views
- Warm ice breaking session over breakfast
- Halt for lunch in Rampur
- Reach Kalpa by late evening : Hotel check-in & freshen up
- Dinner & sleep off the tiring day

Day 2:

- Early morning hike of 2kms to reach Roghi cliff (Suicide point, Kalpa)
- Breakfast & hotel check-out
- Road trip to one of the most beautiful villages of Kinnaur- Nako Village
- Homestay check-in & lunch, Nako
- Explore monastery & lake
- Take a tour of the village on foot and closely observe the old styled construction of these houses. This place is actually a dream come true for the shutterbug in you so take your camera out and let your lens capture the vibe of it while you indulge yourself in the local culture of Kinnaur
- Tipsy gypsy gala night at the homestay (free welcome shots on the house to start the night right, bond over some good music and conversations)
-Dinner & overnight stay

Day 3:

- Breakfast & check-out
- Visit Tabo Monastery, one of the famous monasteries of Lahaul & Spiti, on our way to Dhankar Village
- Homestay check-in & lunch, Dhankar
- Take a stroll in the village after filling up your stomachs
- Visit Dhankar fort & the 1000+ yrs old Dhankar monastery
- Get back to the homestay after sunset and gather in the common area for battles of the teams & some more fun games
- Dinner & overnight stay

Day 4:

- Wake up overlooking the entire Dhankar village from our homestay and soak some sunshine while sitting and chilling at the terrace as we have our breakfast served with local himachali chai
- Prepare for property check-out & load your luggage in the tempo traveller
- Hike to Dhankar Lake (5kms to & fro, Beginner level) & look at the reflection of those mighty mountains in the lake water
- Relax by the side of the lake for some bit before we hit the road again for our next destination i.e. Kaza, the headquarter of Spiti valley
- Drive to New Kaza and check in to our hotel, followed by late lunch
- Visit Kaza market in the evening and shop local stuff if you wish to
- Dinner in any local café in the market (not included in package)
- Get back to our hotel and sleep off the tiring day

Day 5:

- Have early breakfast at the hotel before we head out to explore the famous villages of Spiti
- Visit Langza village which is known for its rich fossils of marine animals and plants. Spend some time at the giant Buddha statue in Langza
- Send postcards to your loved ones from the world's highest post office in Hikkim
- Visit Komic village which is the world's highest village in Asia with a motor-able road
- Explore Lundup tsemo gompa buddhist monastery, Komic
- Lunch in one of the local dhabas
- Visit Kye/key monastery, the biggest monastery of Spiti valley
- Drive through Kibber wildlife sanctuary and if you are lucky, you might be able to spot snow leopard & other rare wildlife)
- Take a walk in the Kibber village and visit Kibber monastery
- Get back to the hotel and relax
- Star gazing & dinner
- Sleep off the tiring day

Day 6:

- Early morning breakfast & check-out
- Drive to Chandrataal base camp and reach there before lunch hours
- Freshen up & lunch at the campsite
- Head to the Lake for Parikrama
- Spend some time at the Lake and get to the campsite right after sunset for evening snacks & tea
- Bonfire & music
- Last night celebrations over dinner & drinks

Day 7:

- Breakfast at the campsite & check-out
- If you wish, you may hike up to the lake (1.5kms) again to have an early morning look of the beautiful mountains reflecting in the lake
- Road trip to Manali after breakfast
- Halt for Lunch in Gramphu
- Reach Manali by 6PM
- Time to bid a warm goodbye to Himachal as you board the Volvo bus from the bus stand. Quilt and water bottles will be provided inside the bus
- The bus will halt for dinner by 10 PM at a local dhaba/hotel

Day 8:

- Reach Delhi by 7AM, in a semi-sleeper Volvo bus
- Trip ends here

  • Semi sleeper Volvo bus to and fro Delhi (Only if opted)
  • Water bottle and quilt inside the Volvo bus (Only if opted for Delhi-Delhi)
  • Travel in luxury tempo traveller (Shimla to Manali)
  • Accommodation for 6 nights on sharing basis – Hotel in Kalpa(1 night), Homestay in Nako(1 night) & Dhankar(1 night), Hotel in Kaza (2 nights), Swiss tents with attached washrooms at Chandrataal base camp (1 night)
  • All meals (Veg & Non-Veg both)– 3 meals(B/L/D) on day 1,2,3,5 and 2 meals (B/L) on day 4 & 6 as per itinerary

FAQs

What will be the pick-up & drop location and time for people opting for Shimla to Manali Package ?
Pick up location in Shimla will be the New Bus Stand near Victory Tunnel at 9AM on Day 1
The exact google pin of the location will be shared with you a week before the trip
The drop location in Manali will be the Manali Bus Stand max by 6PM on Day 7
What will be the pick-up & drop location and time for people opting for Delhi to Delhi Package?
Pick-up Location will be Majnu ka Tila around 9/10 PM on day 0 & drop location will be Majnu ka Tila / Kashmere Gate around 7 AM on day 8
What is the cancellation policy?
No Refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations.

However, the traveller has to bear cancellation cost as per the below schedule;
25% of the trip cost: If cancellations are made 16 days or more before the start date of the trip
50% of the trip cost: If cancellations are made between 8 to 15 days before the start date of the trip
100% of the trip cost: If cancellations are made within 7 days before the start date of the trip

All applicable cancellation refunds will be made within 48 hours of raising such requests

FYI, we never call off any of our trips but in the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, if we have to cancel a trip then full trip money will be refunded to the traveller within 48 hours of any such cancellations

However, while on the trip if any adventure activity gets cancelled because of natural calamities like thunderstorms, floods, landslides, earthquakes etc or because of unexpected local/govt unrest, curfews, govt orders etc then in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide the next best alternative. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
