This tiny hamlet in the Kangra Valley is an absolutely blissful place for your weekend getaway or for spending a lovely weekend away from your home.
Billing, located at an elevation of 2400 m, is internationally famous for being one of the best Paragliding sites in the world. It, in fact, hosts major competitive annual Paragliding events in which all experienced flyers participate to win.
- Departure from Majnu ka Tila at 8 PM in Semi-Sleeper Volvo Bus (quilt and water bottles will be provided inside the bus)
- The bus will halt for dinner around 11:30 PM at a local dhaba/hotel
- Warm Ice breaking session over food
- Reach our Hostel in Bir by 9AM, check in & freshen up
- Have breakfast and prepare yourself for the road trip ahead
- Head to Billing- take-off site for Paragliding adventures by 12 noon
- From here on, you can either quench your thirst of Paragliding or walk around Billing and enjoy the views
- Enjoy the most beautiful flight of your life as you go up and up in the air & finally come down to the landing site
- Walk down the streets of famous Tibetan Market from the landing site and explore your surroundings
- Take a break for Lunch & fill up your stomachs with some local Tibetan food
- Visit Chokling Monastery and treat the shutterbug in you with some awesome views
- You can explore the option of renting out bicycles (at an additional cost) to roam around Bir for a different experience
-Get back to the famous paragliding landing site in Bir to catch the sunset views
- Walk back to our hostel for Chindi style tipsy gypsy gala night. Chindi welcome shots will be served to start the night right
- Brace yourself for some amazing group bonding activities over music & bonfire
- Dinner under the sky full of stars
- Wake up for an early morning breakfast
- Experience morning prayers at the famous buddhist monastery called “Palpung Sherabling Monastery” @ 10:30 AM
- Drive through the tea estates and forest area to reach Eight Stupas and soak some sunshine with breath- taking views
- Take another beautiful ride to get to Gunehar River Pool through Gunehar Village. Watch out for those old constructed Himachali homes and organic farms. Just absorb the calmness that this place has to offer
- Photo pit stop at famous sunset point on Bir Billing road
- Have local Himachali Thali for lunch at one of the famous Dhabas in Ahju
- Take a stroll around Chaugan Village, one of smallest villages of Himachal, spread across a total geographical area of 72.07 hectares with some 42 houses residing close to 220 people.
- Spot various types of vegetation spread across the entire village of Chaugan as the main source of income for the locals here is agriculture
- Absorb the simplicity of living that this place has to offer & Interact with locals if you wish to
- After the village exploration, head straight to the hostel to pick your luggage & bid a warm GOODBYE to Bir
- Have light evening snacks & tea near the bus boarding point
- Return journey to Delhi will start @ 6PM in a semi sleeper volvo bus (quilt and water bottles will be provided inside the bus)
- The bus will halt for dinner around 10:30 PM at a local dhaba/hotel
